In this clip from Act III, the famous soprano Clarise Knouse (sung by Elender Wall) has stage fright since she was booed in Milan. Gayle Francis (sung by Sally Puente) has been asked to sing Ms. Knouse's role at the last minute. She is excited about getting her big break, but also feels terrible that her idol Clarise Knouse has stage fright and she instead decides to say the right words to Ms. Knouse to get her to go out on stage, "You do not have the right" thus saving Ms. Knouse' carrer, but abandoning her own chances of being discovered by performing for Placido Domingo and James Levine who are in the audience. www.ContemporaryOpera.com .
