RED WHITE & BLUE is a "Play within a Play" and has 3 acts: Act I: "The Audition." Act 2: "The Rehearsal" Act 3: "The Performance". In this clip for Act I, we see
singers auditioning and we get to hear a bit of the conversation that goes on between singers who are backstage, waiting for their turn to audition...

Edith and Miriam: (auditioning) "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh..."
Cherie: (waiting to audition) As she was saying, my sister knows exactly what to say to take their stage fright away. She's brilliant! Just brilliant!
Vici: Does anyone know how much this company pays? Lately, I've had to fight with companies over my contract. They only want to pay half of my regular fee!
Julie: Well, don't fight too hard.
Gayle: There are a thousand Sopranos who'll fly in to do it for nothing.
Julie: Baritones, Basses, Mezzos and Tenors can go into Musical Theater.
Gayle: ...or Pop Music.
Julie: But, there's no place for Sopranos to go but Classial Music.
Gayle: So there is extraordinary talent out there with nowhere to perform.
