CINDY LOU! is a warm, sweet, and funny new opera which introduces opera to the audience with a message about animal rescue. Danielle (sung by Susan Asbjornson), lives alone in a gorgeous house in the relaxed and playful Los Angeles suburb, Hermosa Beach. She works as an entertainment lawyer, constantly surrounded by handsome single movie stars like George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, and Benicio Del Toro, and is passionate only about her work - until a very sweet little Pug dog named Cindy Lou (sung by Lauren Furman) catches her attention on a visit to a local shelter.

This trio begins the evening after Danielle has left the shelter. The cat (sung by Sally Puente) is trying to convince the little pug, Cindy Lou (sung by Lauren Furman) that a woman named Danielle is coming back in the morning to adopt her. Cindy Lou doesn't want to go with the woman because she still believes that her family who left her at the shelter is coming back to get her. Danielle is preparing her home for Cindy Lou, picking up all of her expensive leather shoes so as not to tempt her, and trying to decide what color blanket Cindy Lou would like, green or maybe blue?
