CINDY LOU! is a warm, sweet, and funny new opera which introduces opera to the audience with a message about animal rescue. Danielle (sung by Susan Asbjornson), lives alone in a gorgeous house in the relaxed and playful Los Angeles suburb, Hermosa Beach. She works as an entertainment lawyer, constantly surrounded by handsome single movie stars like George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, and Benicio Del Toro, and is passionate only about her work - until a very sweet little Pug dog named Cindy Lou (sung by Lauren Furman) catches her attention on a visit to a local shelter.
This piece is from the new opera CINDY LOU, a warm, sweet, funny story about Animal Rescue. In this piece, Susannah the poodle (sung by Lucia Lynn) says that she's getting depressed. All the other dogs in the shelter laugh saying, "Poodles don't get depressed!" Susannah is challenged to prove that poodles can, in fact, sing the blues. In her song, she reveals the big secret that she's been afraid to talk about with anyone about the horrible thing that happened when she was caught by the dog catcher.
