Contemporary Opera is the creative child of Susan Ziegler, whose love of life, music and vocal performance has resulted in this performance company and her new operas, CINDY LOU, and RED WHITE & BLUE.
CINDY LOU is an opera about true love: Animal Rescue with an emphasis on compassion and tolerance. Her second opera, RED WHITE & BLUE, is a positive play within a play about America, offering education as well as tolerance and compassion.
COLA is not incorporated, nor is it a charitable corporation under IRC 501(c) 3. Confirmations of charitable contributions are given by charities that do qualify as such.
Part of the ticket price goes towards production expenses, exclusive of compensation for the performers and staff.
Susan Ziegler funds most of the production expenses personally as do the performers who share Susan's love of the art by donating their time to rehearsing and performing the show.
The portion of the ticket price allocated to expenses depends upon total ticket sales. Higher ticket sales results in a smaller portion reserved for production expenses. To the extent that ticket sales allow reimbursement for production expenses, such as the theater, materials, and publicity costs, these expenses may be defrayed through revenue from ticket sales.
Any amount given over and above the ticket price is considered a donation and does not go to Susan Ziegler nor COLA.
