Oriana Inferrera is a freshman in the Vocal Ensemble of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach and has been singing as long as she can remember.  Last March, she won first place, middle school level, of the Southern California Vocal Association Solo Vocal Competition singing "Io son l'umile ancella" from Cilea's opera Adriana Lecouvreur.  During her time at Manhattan Beach Middle School, she performed as a soloist and portrayed "Genie" in Disney's Aladdin, Jr., "Hermia" in Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, and "Carlotta" and "featured soloist" in Performing Arts Workshop Production of The Phantom of the Opera.  Other parts Oriana has had the pleasure of playing are "Amaryllis" in The Music Man by LM Productions, "Dorothy" in the Wizard of Oz, and "Sarah Brown" in Guys and Dolls.

In addition to singing, Oriana also loves acting and has studied dance and piano, with numerous recitals to her credit.  She also loves creative writing, painting and drawing, and is an avid reader.  Her academic achievements and leadership skills were rewarded last year as an MBMS "Student of the Month" and as an editor for the yearbook.  Oriana is very exited for the opportunity to be participating in this production which marks her operatic debut.
