Elender Wall, soprano
Elender Wall, Soprano, is delighted to be returning to Contemporary Opera Los Angeles.  She was last seen with the company as "Fatso", a dog, in CINDY LOU.  A champion of new works, she has had many songs and concert works written for her.  World premieres include the operas THE TREE by Linda Dowdell and Peter Wing Healey, CINDY LOU by Susan Asbjornson and CINDERELLA IN EXTREMIS by Michel Matsumoto.  She also performs the role of the "Queen of Hearts" with the Guild Opera in their in-school performances of ALICE IN WONDERLAND by composer Robert Chauls, in which she is delighted to frighten children with her "Off With Her Head" aria.  Conventional roles include "Donna Elvira" in DON GIOVANNI, the "Witch" and "Mother" in HANSEL AND GRETEL, "Poppea" in CORONATION OF POPPEA, and "Giulietta" in TALES OF HOFFMAN.

Ms. Wall won international attention for her CD, "The Poetry of Donald Rumsfeld and Other Fresh Amerian Art Songs", a collaboration with composer and pianist Bryant Kong.  The CD was featured on CNN, NPR, the BBC, German and Japanese television, and more worldwide.  The corresponding "Weapons of Mass Distraction" tour took the duo to many performing arts festivals and venues.  Ms. Wall was also the featured singer for the national tour of the Sonos Handbell Ensemble, singing the new piece "Hell's Belles" by Libby Larsen, composed for the ensemble, in addition to muisc by Ginistera and de Falla, and Ladino songs by Yzekiel Braun.

Upcoming engagements include performances of
